Weekly update

In a very nice contrast as to how my last couple of weeks have been, this week I've been doing a whole lot of nothing. Okay, so I've also applied for a few jobs and will be doing some more of that, of course... but other than that I've been hanging around at home, making another music video (which is a mistake, because WMM is bound and determined to make the process as difficult as possible and YouTube will probably just delete it if and when I ever finish and post it anyway), watching movies, going to my nieces' violin recital, stuff like that.

The most exciting thing that's happened this week is that my aunt got in touch with her biological son's family. For thirty-four years she's been wondering where he is, and now his thirteen-year-old daughter made contact with her. My aunt's a grandma--three times over, in fact. Now my mom thinks it's a competition--"You have more grandkids than I do!" :roll: Anyway, it's extremely awesome that this has happened. My aunt hasn't actually talked to her son yet--he wants to have contact, but is nervous about what he'll say--as is my aunt, and understandably so for both of them. But anyhoo... yay, I have a new cousin and three new first cousins once removed. :XD:

This week I plan to go to Omaha sometime and look for a few more places to put in an application, plus hopefully get the spare key to my friend's apartment that I'll be staying in this summer. And use my Barnes and Noble gift card. ;) Hopefully on some Charlie Chaplin or Laurel and Hardy DVDs... yeah, I'm a dork, I know. :aww: Oh, and I still need to get a haircut, because I'm dumb and keep on forgetting to call and make an appointment. (Why doesn't the place I've always gone to take walk-ins?)

Until next week! :salute:

That's nice your aunt and her son's family have met again. How'd they make contact? I've found so many people I knew in grade school on Facebook, and it's so funny to see where they are now from the last time I saw them, which was when I was like eight or nine. :XD:

Hope you find a job soon though! Good luck with everything :)

If it weren't for physics and law enforcement, I'd be unstoppable.

When you're close, I can't breathe, I feel sparks :heart: Say that it's gonna be okay...

:flame: :cheese: pwns all XD

My aunt was registered on a website where people can try to find their biological parents. The thirteen-year-old is actually the one who first made the contact, though--and she's friends with my aunt on Facebook now. :XD: I should go ahead and add her too, since she is my... um, first cousin once removed, I think. ^^;

Thanks! I really hope I can get this one at a radio station that I applied for. :fingerscrossed:

Wow, that's really cool that your Aunt has found out about her son like that. I hope things work out and he and his family become part of yours. :)

I hope so too! My aunt's flying out to visit him right now, so let's hope it goes well. :)
