About a week or two ago I bought "Garfield and Friends Volumne 1" on DVD. Aah, the memories! I used to watch that show all the time.

I had forgotten how cute Wade was. I mean, c'mon, look at him! Ain't he precious?

I was originally going to have all the US Acres cast in here, but then I though, "Oh, there is NO WAY I can draw that." But I didn't want to just draw Wade by himself either... I wanted something happening in my pic, you know? So I drew Roy too. I like that cheeky rooster. Not as much as Wade, but I like him all the same. I have a thing for bad boys.

What the... KATIE DREW AN ACTUAL BACKGROUND? It's the end of the world! Yes, I did draw an actual background... and man, backgrounds take more time than the foreground characters! And I did something that's supposed to be shading, too. I now remember why I usually don't--I suck at it.

As far as the birds go, tho, I think they turned out pretty good, especially because 1. It was my first time drawing both of them, 2. Although I had references (of course) I made up the poses, and 3. Birds are hard to draw. Davy saw this when I was working on it and he said he thought Wade turned out really good. I, personally, think Roy looks a little better than Wade. Oh well.

Man. This took forever to do. I drew it last night and colored it this morning. In my pajamas. In fact, I'm STILL in my pajamas. Maybe I should take a shower...
