I have to tell you guys something--I don't obsess over something new all willy-nilly. I'm very reluctant to list a movie as a favorite the first time I see it, because for me, a favorite movie has to kind of stand the test of time for me. I put a lot of thought into these sorts of things, believe it or not.

Which is why the way I'm obsessing over Horton Hears a Who kind of astounds me. :O_o: This movie is just, I don't know, amazing, and I love everything about it... you have no idea, seriously. (Well, maybe you do.) ;p I've seen it three times already, and it hasn't even been in theaters a month. My desktop background is the Mayor--hell, even my YouTube page background suddenly has the Mayor on it. How did that happen? ;)

Anyhoo, enough blabbing about that. This is my entry for the ~Mayor-Fans ID contest (hence why the submission is small, ID size). The theme was "family", but I would probably kill myself before drawing his ENTIRE family. So I went with the wallet with a ton of pictures in it, because yeah, a wallet like that is pretty much win. And yeah, he had to have it custom-made... go fig, they don't normally make wallets that hold 98 photos. I never would have guessed. :XD:

I know in the movie, Jojo's picture was at the very end, but I wanted to show the kids in birth order, so I put him right at the top, right below his mom. :) I know he and Sally don't look so great, but that's a tiny space to work with, peeps! Besides, Jojo's kind of tough to draw. I might try drawing him later <strike>and get bombarded by billions of Jojo fangirls</strike> to prove to myself that I CAN actually draw him.

Also, the girl right below Jojo--the oldest girl, thus--her name's Zaneeta, I've decided. Why Zaneeta? Because in The Music Man, the mayor's oldest daughter was named Zaneeta, and it's kind of become a rule in my mind that all mayors' oldest daughters are named Zaneeta. :D I might draw a solo pic of her too, since I have her whole personality and such engrained in my mind... she'll be a major player in the fanfic that I'll probably never get around to writing. ^^;

THE SKETCH

THE END

Horton Hears a Who and all characters belong to Fox and Dr. Seuss Enterprises... although I did create the looks of those daughters! Okay, so I based them off some of the other daughters we see in the movie, but for cryin' out loud, cut me some slack...

LOL! Terrific picture. :-D Yeah, anybody who can help raise 97 kids and still keep a (mostly) cheerful attitude definitely has to be respected for that in itself. :-D

You love the movie that much, huh? Looking at the previews it doesn't seem to do anything for me. A movie has to interest me before I can consider seeing it. Oh well. I'm not a big fan of computer animation which is part of it, also I hate how they use Hollywood stars instead of professional voice actors. Ah well, whatever. There are always the classics that I love to go back to and revisit.

Oh dear, yes, very busy indeed. I think that's part of the reason why I love him so much! ;p

Can't argue there! He's like Power-Dad--he can manage to be a good father to all of them! That I've gotta admire... and love, it's true. :XD: Thanks for the fave! :boogie:

Well, in defense of Jim Carrey and Steve Carell, they both really did a fantastic job at their characters. I do agree, though... it's kind of sad how animated movies feel the need to rely on "star power" to get an audience.

I've seen a clip from that movie about this character named Katie who comes running up from behind holding some kind of colourful puffball and she says "In my world, everyone's a pony and they all eat rainbows, and poop butterflies." It makes me want to see the whole thing now!!!!
LOL, yeah, Katie is amazingly freaky. (And she also happens to have the same name as me, so I kind of hold a soft spot for her. Her and Vlad. I love the bad guys.) ;p

Thanks so much for the fave! :boogie:
